Eight Perfect Hours by Lia Louis

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In this romantic and heartwarming novel, two strangers meet in chance circumstances during a blizzard and spend one perfect evening together, thinking they’ll never see each other again. But fate seems to have different plans.

“𝐌𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝. 𝐈’𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈’𝐦 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞. 𝐈’𝐦 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞, 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬?”

There was a lot of characters in this book! Sometimes it was hard to keep track of them all. Noelle, Ed, Daisy, Bradley “Lee”, Sam, Mom/Belinda Ian, Dilly, Charlie and Theo, Frank, and Candace and Steve. Wow, see I told you there was a lot of characters! And I even left out a couple that had smaller roles. That’s one of my complaints with this book was how many characters there were, they were all fun to read about but I still don’t think we needed them all.

“𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝.”

I loved all the times Sam and Noelle were brought together by fate, they were very believable and once you get to the end of the book everything comes together. I had goosebumps every time they’d run into each other. The chemistry between Noelle and Sam is ‘turn-the-fan-on-high’ palpable, but completely closed-door, so no raging fires, but those glowing embers are still hot enough! I won’t say anymore as I don’t want to spoil it for you!

This is charming, funny and well-written, with vibrant characters and a story that will win your heart. Apart from romance, it’s also just a wonderful story about two people growing into who they’re meant to be - leaving some aspects of the past behind, while also discovering how much other aspects have determined their future. It’s the perfect cozy romance for the holidays or any time of year!
