If you're looking for a quick read then add this to your TBR! I wanted to get an hour on the treadmill and I remembered I had this on my kindle! Read it in under an hour!
“𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡.”
A desperate young woman in Southern California sits down to write a letter to a man she’s never met—a choice that will forever change both their lives.
“𝐈𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐧. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭.”
This short story made me feel so much! 88 pages. That’s all it took to make me love the characters, to make me cry and to root for Carrie and David. I'm in awe with how TJR made me feel so many strong emotions.
“𝐌𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫.”
This story is told entirely through the letters of two complete strangers going through the same thing. These letters felt so real which is why it was so heartbreaking. Some letters were gut-wrenching. The ending was so good though! My jaw dropped at one point and when you read this you’ll know the exact spot I’m talking about!
“𝐌𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞.”
Quick car ride? Walk on the treadmill? Bath? These are all great ways to read this book! Highly recommend!
