Maybe In Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐈 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞, 𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮.”

Hannah goes out to a bar one night with Gabby and meets up with her high school boyfriend, Ethan. Gabby asks Hannah if she’s ready to go home but Ethan offers to give her a ride later if she wants to stay. What happens if she leaves with Gabby? What happens if she leaves with Ethan? In concurrent storylines, Hannah lives out the effects of each decision.

“𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮.”

I always stop and think what my life would be like if I had made different choices, this is always on my mind and it’s crazy to think small or big decisions we make could change where we are currently in our lives. This book challenges that thinking a lot. I found it interesting that there was no clear indication that one life was better than the other. I mean, you as a reader can choose which life you liked better for her, but I feel like ultimately, a lot of the same things happened in both realities and the things that were different did not feel necessarily better.

“𝐈𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬, 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐈 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐨 𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞.”

This book wasn’t just about Hannah finding a soulmate, but about her and Gabby’s friendship. They are the type of friends who can read each other’s minds and are there for each other no matter what. You meet so many characters in this book, most you love but some you hate.

I loved this book so much. I am so in love with the way TJR writes, the way she pulls you into every story! Another must read!
