The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 8 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤? 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫?”

This book follows Nathan and Bree, high school best friends, as they work their way through adulthood. Nathan is playing professional football and Bree runs a ballet studio. They spend a lot of time together being best friends and, surprise surprise, they’re secretly in love with each other. This comes to the test when they have to fake date.

“𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐭.”

Their story was the definition of cute! I really enjoyed reading about them because you can really see how much they truly care for each other. You can also see their love language as their story progresses which I thought was really cool. Throughout this entire book, they just kept questioning whether or not the other person had feelings for them and it was just so rewarding when they FINALLY confessed their feelings.

“𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫, 𝐧𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬.”

I loved pretty much every character we encounter (with the exception of Nathan’s Ex) and the weirdness we see from Bree, Nathan and his teammates led to quite a few laugh out loud moments that I absolutely loved. I just wish we got more tension in the book because they were scenes that would’ve been perfect with a little added spice, so if you’re a reader who wants spice this isn’t for you!

@authorsarahadams has yet to let me down! Add this to your TBR! If you’re a fan of sport romance, dual POV, friends to lovers, and fake romance then this is the book for you!
