Sarah Adams does it again! Lucy is a twenty-nine-year-old single mom and unemployed hairdresser who’s having to live with her old brother because she doesn’t have a penny in savings. I love a good forbidden love story as well as dual POVs! I loved Cooper so much, he’s encouraging, caring, thoughtful, and he is so sweet to Lucy and her son. I really enjoyed seeing his POV of Lucy, it was so adorable and swoony. And the slow banter, steamy! The chemistry between the two was on point. Lucy is now one of my favorite female main characters! I adored her so much, she’s quirky, hilarious, and extremely awkward, says what’s on her mind, and just makes situations so weird but is an amazing mother.⁠

There were so many swoon worthy moments as well as many humorous moments. I love when a book entertains me while providing those needed moments of depth and growth. There was loads of chemistry and tension in this one, friends. Sarah Adams is one of my favorite authors. I've loved every single one of her books. I would definitely recommend if you love a slow banter, rom-com!
