This was such a quick and easy read. I have never read a book by Donna Schwartze before but I really enjoyed reading this one. Sophie is late to her best friend's bachelorette party and encounters a hot guy who is obviously famous but she has no idea who he is; nor does she care. Seb, a famous baseball catcher, is immediately entranced by Sophie because he is so used to everyone fawning over him like fangirls. When the bachelorette party decides to play their old drinking game, Truth or Tequila, Sophie has to get Seb to kiss her by the end of the night to end the game.⁠

First of all, the male love interest, Seb, is one of the sweetest book characters I have ever read about. He is honestly perfect and I love every interaction with him. I know a lot of girls don't like when men are super protective or dominant so it was refreshing to see a character like that under some good light. Most books now tend to shame that type of personality but Seb was protective in the most respectful way. He would truly do anything for Sophie and just wants to keep her protected and taken care of. I honestly wish that that wasn't seen as a bad thing in other books.⁠

The plotline to me was a little cheesy because the conflict could've easily been avoided with a little more communication. It was still entertaining and enjoyable so the pointlessness of the conflict didn't affect me that much. Obviously, this is fiction and in real life, there would be much easier solutions but it made for a good story and put some healthy tension on the characters' relationships.⁠

I love Sophie and Seb together so the ending made me so happy! When I get around to reading the next book in the series, I will be so excited to see where their story goes.
